Imaging Lenses
Imaging Lenses are used to view objects in imaging systems. Imaging Lenses are imaging components used in imaging systems to focus an image of an examined object onto a camera sensor. Depending on the lens, Imaging Lenses can be used to remove parallax or perspective error or provide adjustable magnifications, field of views, or focal lengths. Imaging Lenses allow an object to be viewed in several ways to illustrate certain features or characteristics that may be desirable in certain applications.
Laser Optics
Laser Optics are used in a wide range of laser instrumentation or laser applications, including beam steering or material processing. Laser Optics use specific substrates, coatings, or a combination of the two to provide superior performance at specific laser wavelengths or over a range of wavelengths. Many Laser Optics feature laser damage thresholds designed for pulsed or CW lasers. Using a Laser Optic that has a lower laser damage threshold than what the laser requires can lead to damaging the Optical Component.
Optomechanics
Optomechanics are used to provide a variety of mounting or positioning options for a wide range of optical applications. Optomechanics include optical mounts, optical breadboards or tables, translation stages, or other components used to construct optical systems. Optical mounts are used to secure optical components, while optical breadboards, laboratory tables, or translation stages can create work spaces in which components may be stabilized or accurately positioned. Optomechanical components provide stability as well as accuracy to mounted optical components to increase the efficiency of optical systems.
Microscope Systems
Microscope Systems are essential to many Advanced Diagnostic systems and applications. Each application may require a different type of microscope – most common include Stereo and Inverted Microscopes. Stereo Microscopes are optical microscopes that use incident light illumination for inspection. Stereo Microscopes offer a broad range of magnification options, along with features such as zoom capability or interchangeable objectives in higher-end models. Inverted Microscopes simply flip the objective and sensor position below the sample, and are important for cellular analysis, well plate inspection, or petri dish inspection where critical features and cells reside on the bottom of a well. Inverted Microscopes are beneficial for specimens that are best imaged from underneath in order to reduce the amount of spherical and chromatic aberrations typically induced by immersion medium. Microscope Systems are ideal for analysis of small features and defects that cannot be resolved simply or easily by the human eye.
